HEATING WITH WOOD

Fall always finds us with trailer loads of wood picked up from neighbors and friends who need dead wood cleared. So far the summer storms have provided us with ample fodder for our wood stove in the basement. The heat comes through the floor and spoils us with warm feet all winter long--not to mention the monetary savings on fuel. I have to admit to being lazy and letting the kids do most of the work with Dad. They don't grumble too much and end up with a good bit of exercise.

I have to thank them here where everyone can see for all their hard work and effort for our home. They also provide a lot of the wood that Papa and Skeeter (kids' grandparents) use in their wood stove.
